Evergreen Brewing Initiative

An online community to educate, support, and encourage more women and non-binary folks to fall in love with the hobby of homebrewing

Our Online Community is Now LIVE!

While we are gearing up and growing Evergreen Brewing Initiative we will be hanging out, chatting and learning from each other over on our Facebook Group. Join us today!

Our First Merchandise Fundraiser is LIVE!

Resist, Resist, Resist...and Drink Beer!

This slogan is a call for the Queer Resistance. Once again we must fight for our rights & our lives and we know that beer can fuel the resistance.

Beer Is The Way

You know it is true! Beer is the way to bring people together, to make us happy and to rally around community. Beer is all these things and so much more. This is the t-shirt you have been looking for!

Online Homebrew Club

Above all, we are a homebrew club. Our goal is to bring more people into this amazing hobby, and to provide a place for like minded brewers to gather, collaborate and learn from one another.

Non Profit Organization

EBI is part of the Women's Craft Fermentation Alliance. Through the work of the WCFA we are able to partner with industry professionals to provide supplies, ingredients, and more to our club members.

Resource Center

The primary way we support our goals is by providing resources for club members in the form of education, book lists, curated website resource lists along with mentorship, recipe construction and more.

How do I join EBI?

You can join by first deciding if you'd like to be an EBI Brewer, Mentor or Supporter. The descriptions on each of these membership types can be found here. Once you determine which is right for you please fill out the related form and submit and you are now an EBI member.

Is there a fee for being a member?

There is no fee to be a member of EBI. We are a non-profit organization and part of our mission is to provide financial services to our members as needed.

Do I have to identify as a woman or non-binary to be a member of EBI?

We ask that all Brewer members identify as a woman or non-binary brewer. However Mentor and Supporter Memberships are open to all who seek to provide education and support to EBI Brewers.

Does EBI have a physical geographical location?

No. We are an online/digital based homebrew club that interacts via our Facebook Group page and online meetings. We are hopeful that as we grow there can be local hubs in different areas of the country/world.

Does EBI have regular meetings?

Yes. We will be having monthly online meetings. The day, time and platform has yet to be decided. Keep an eye here for more info soon.

Can I be in more than one club?

Yes. There is no rule or requirement saying otherwise. We encourage folks to join local homebrew clubs IF they feel supported, welcomed and receive benefit from the club.

What is the best way to ask specific questions about brewing and competing?

There are several ways to ask questions. The easiest and fastest is to make a post over on the club's Facebook Group. You can also reach out directly to your mentor or ask a question during the next monthly meeting.

How do I compete under the EBI name?

The Evergreen Brewing Initiative is an AHA registered homebrew club. When you create your profile at a competition website it asks you what club you want to represent at that competition. Simply search for Evergreen and select in the drop down.

How do I let EBI know that I won a medal?

We have a quick and easy form for you to submit when you have entered a competition and won a medal! Congratulations.

What are some recommended brewing resources?

One of the main goals of EBI is to curate resources to help educate brewers regardless of skill level. As with anything internet related there is a lot of non-helpful or downright bad advice out there for brewers. Check out our resource page to head in the right direction!

How do I find a homebrew club in my area?

The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) has a full list of registered homebrew clubs and that is a great place to start. We also highly recommend finding your local homebrew shop (LHBS) if available and popping in and asking them about clubs in the area.

What social media platforms is EBI on?

Our member only Facebook group is the primary social media platform we work with. Here is where you will find member specific posts, etc. If you simply want to tag EBI to talk about our
